MAR-3D : Development of 3D Environment for VR Applications in the Maritime Industry

The project, MAR3D, focuses on the development of high-fidelity 3D assets tailored for Virtual Reality (VR) applications in the maritime industry. The maritime sector faces significant challenges regarding the safety of personnel working in enclosed and hazardous spaces aboard ships. Despite existing safety protocols, incidents resulting in fatalities underscore the critical need for enhanced training methods. MAR3D aims to address this gap by creating detailed 3D models of ship compartments such as cargo holds, engine rooms, and ballast tanks using advanced Unity technology.

These 3D assets will serve as the foundation for immersive VR training programs and simulations. They will accurately replicate real-world maritime environments, including interactive elements like doors, valves, and equipment, alongside realistic environmental effects such as lighting changes and atmospheric conditions. Our approach ensures that trainees can experience and practice emergency scenarios, like gas leaks or equipment failures, in a safe and controlled virtual setting.

By leveraging MAR3D’s high-fidelity 3D assets, maritime personnel will benefit from enhanced training experiences that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application. This initiative not only aims to improve safety and operational readiness but also promotes cost efficiency by providing reusable and scalable models adaptable to various ship types and scenarios.

The outcomes of MAR3D are expected to include improved safety standards through better-prepared personnel, reduced incidents in enclosed spaces, and overall enhanced operational efficiency in the maritime industry. The versatility of these 3D assets extends beyond training, supporting safety drills, procedural simulations, and educational tools. We are developing AI systems that enable automated interactions with non-playable characters (NPCs). These characters can engage with players in a natural and responsive manner, providing a more engaging and immersive gameplay experience.

Our AI models enhance gameplay by adapting to player behavior, offering personalized challenges, and optimizing game mechanics for balanced and enjoyable play. The AI analyzes player decisions in real-time, ensuring that the game evolves in a way that remains challenging and rewarding.

AI-Based Funding Search Portal for the Creative Sector
Our AI-based funding search portal is designed to assist creative professionals in finding funding opportunities tailored to their specific needs. By leveraging machine learning and natural language processing, the portal:
  • Identifies Relevant Grants and Funds: Matches users with funding opportunities that align with their projects and goals.
  • Provides Personalized Recommendations: Analyzes user profiles and project details to offer customized funding suggestions.
  • Streamlines the Application Process: Guides users through the application process with tips and templates to improve their chances of success.

SecureKey: Passwordless Authentication through Cryptography

Our passwordless authentication solution uses cutting-edge cryptographic techniques to enhance security and user convenience. This project focuses on:

  • Eliminating Passwords: Replacing traditional passwords with secure, user-friendly authentication methods such as biometrics and cryptographic keys.
